Astonishing outdoor beauty and authentic farm living greet guests at Castello di Casole, A Belmond Hotel and noble medieval estate in the heart of Tuscany. An active working farm, it invites guests to live from the land, enjoying authentic farm-to-table cuisine and a rich heritage rooted in the agricultural life of Tuscany. The restored castle is set within 4,200 acres of sprawling vineyards, olive groves, woodlands and meadows, where deer, hare and wild boar roam. Thirty-nine rooms and suites and two private villas blend traditional Tuscan style with contemporary sophistication.

A serene infinity pool affords spellbinding vistas of the undulating hills. The magnificent, vaulted spa, set in the former wine cellar, offers botanical and grape-inspired treatments. Yoga and Pilates can be enjoyed on the lawn. Fresh produce is honored and celebrated at Tosca, set on a panoramic terrace with spellbinding views. Menus feature Casole’s own-label red wines, olive oil and honey. The poolside Castello Grill serves sizzling specialties, cooked before guests by the chef. Stylish Bar Visconti is named in honor of former owner, Earl Edoardo Visconti, brother of film director Luchino Visconti. Their parties here during the dolce vita era were legendary. Magical aperitifs can be arranged at The Enchanted Table, floating in a secluded glade. Delicious Tuscan specialties can be savored at Emporio del Castello, which blends relaxed alfresco dining with the feel of a traditional village store. Sustainable cooking classes and experiences in Orto del Castello, the extensive vegetable garden, further immerse guests in local gastronomy.

Activities within the estate include guided nature walks, truffle hunts and stargazing. Beyond lie Tuscany’s most celebrated vineyards, charming hilltop towns and the wonders of San Gimignano and Siena. A variety of bikes are available to tour the area using pedal power.
